These fruits, because of their pleasant fragrance, also help wake the senses.

Saffron is a traditional Indian spice made from dried stigmas of the crocus plant. Its also popular in Spanish and Middle Eastern cultures. Its used to treat symptoms of depression in various medicine systems around the globe. Small experiments conducted in Iran, the world’s largest saffron producer, showed its positive impact on negative moods. It adds color and fragrance to food, both of which are important for food to be a mood enhancer.

6. Yogurt

Our blood sugar drops when we feel cranky or irritated. The most effective way to avoid this fall in blood sugar is to eat something regularly. Yogurt with berries and almonds is helpful for avoiding mood swings and provides sufficient energy to the body. You can add fruit to yogurt to make it more tasty and colorful.
