Special Stir Fried Cabbage with Bacon, Onion, and Garlic
Ingredients:
- 10 slices chopped bacon
- 1 ½ diced large onion
- 3 cloves minced garlic
- 1 cored and sliced large head cabbage
- 1 ½ tablespoon salt
- 1 ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Directions:
- Cook the bacon in a large stockpot in a medium – high heat until crispy for about 5 – 10 minutes.
- Add the onion and garlic and stir slowly for about 8 – 10 minutes or until the onion caramelizes.
- Add and stir cabbage immediately and continue to cook and stir for another 10 minutes.
- Season with salt, onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and pepper.
- Reduce the flame and cover, simmer, stirring occasionally for about 20-30 minutes more.
