A Hawaiian Twist To Your Turkey Burgers

This is a fun, creative recipe. Its the perfect way to have your burger and not feel heavy, bloated and exhausted after. A juicy and flavorful grilled pineapple turkey burger that combines the sweet taste of pineapple with lean ground turkey, delicious!

Ingredients:

20-oz package extra lean ground turkey
2 Tablespoons liquid aminos (such as Bragg)
¼ cup red bell pepper, chopped
¼ cup red onion, chopped
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon thyme
4 pineapple slices, approx. 1/2 inch thick

A Hawaiian Twist To Your Turkey Burgers

Directions:

Preheat the grill to medium-high, meanwhile combine ground turkey, liquid aminos, pepper, onion, black pepper, and thyme in large bowl and mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well mixed.
Divide turkey mixture into 4 equal portions and form into burger patties, place them on grill as well as the pineapple slices.
Flip the burgers and the pineapple slices after 6-8 minutes, then place one pineapple slice onto the top of each burger and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes, or until burgers are fully cooked.
