Tiramisu Cake Recipe

3/8  package moist white cake mix

1/4 teaspoon instant coffee powder

1 tablespoon coffee

FILLING:

2 tablespoons and 2 teaspoons confectioners’ sugar

2 teaspoons coffee flavored liqueur

FROSTING:

2/3 cup heavy cream

1 tablespoon confectioners’ sugar

GARNISH:

2 teaspoons unsweetened cocoa powder

3/8  semisweet chocolate

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F

Prepare the cake mix according to package directions.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, Let cool in pan and cool completely. In a measuring cup, combine brewed coffee and coffee liqueur.

To make the filling: Combine mascarpone, 1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar and  beat  until smooth. Cover and refrigerate.

To make the frosting: Beat the cream, 1/4 cup confectioners’ sugar  until stiff.

To assemble the cake: Place one plain cake layer on a serving plate. Pour one third of mixture over cake. Top with coffee-flavored cake layer. Pour another third of the coffee mixture over the second layer and spread the remaining filling. Spread sides and top of cake with frosting. Place cocoa on top of the cake. Refrigerate at least 30 minutes.

Serve!
