Poached Ginger Pears Recipe
5 large pears sliced
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon whole cloves
2 teaspoon ginger
Directions
- Mix 1 cup water with sugar, whole cloves, and ground ginger and simmer. Drop the pears for about 10 minutes. Remove the pears and set aside.
- Boil liquid until it forms syrup.
- Top the syrup over the pears. Serve it warm or chilled.
