Korean BBQ Marinade Recipe

Korean-BBQ-Marinade

Makes about 1/2 cup – enough for 6 beef short ribs, 1 (14-ounce) block extra firm tofu, or 2 (8-ounce) blocks tempeh

Ingredients:

1/4 container soy sauce

1/4 container crisp Asian pear squeeze or puree (optional)*

2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil

2-3 cloves garlic, smashed

1-2 scallions, hacked

1/2 teaspoons ground new ginger

1 tablespoon tan sugar

1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds

Dash of newly ground dark pepper

Directions:

Consolidate all fixings in a little bowl. Taste and conform amounts, if coveted.

Use sauce to marinate meat short ribs or sections of additional firm tofu (emptied and pressed) or tempeh. Place the protein in a shallow dish or zip-top pack and cover uniformly with marinade. Marinate for no less than 2 hours and up to a day, turning in any event once.
