Coconut Ladoo

Ingredients

2 cups desiccated coconut or fresh coconut
1 cup milk ( reduce to 1/2 cup if using fresh coconut)
¾ cup sugar
⅛ tsp. green cardamom powder
cashews broken as needed
1 tsp ghee.

Directions

Place the pan over medium heat and melt ghee. Roast nuts until it’s golden and set it aside for later.
Pour coconut, milk and sugar. Let the dessicated coconut soak in the mixture for 15 minutes.
Using the same pan, cook mixture until it thickens and moisture completely evaporates. Stir in cardamom powder and nuts.
Let the mixture cool lightly until cold enough to handle. Shape the mixture into balls.

You can keep it refrigerated in an airtight container.
