Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoon cold water
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup cider vinegar
  • 2 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 24 skinless chicken thighs

Directions:

  1. In a large pan over low heat, combine the cornstarch, cold water, sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, ginger and ground black pepper.
  2. Simmer mixed ingredients and stir frequently until sauce thickens and bubbles.
  3. Preheat oven to 220 degrees C.
  4. Place chicken pieces in a lightly greased large baking dish. Brush the whole chicken, front and back with the sauce.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 – 30 minutes. Turn pieces over, and bake for another 25 -30 minutes, until no longer pink and juices run clear. Brush with sauce every 10 minutes during cooking.
